An 80s slug anthem of proud slugs. The original version failed to chart, but remained an underground cult classic among gastropod fans and at Slug Pride.

DXS brings us back the original 80s version, with dance-floor remixes on the “Cucumber Dreams” concept album.

“Baby Slug” a Lost Motown Classic

A rare discovery of a Motown/Soul 7″ record caused the “Cucumber Dreams” project to seek out the original recording. Sadly the 1 inch tape is gone, but there is hope of “baking” an old tape recovered from a former vinyl pressing factory. We hope to recover this lost classic, but for now our only public version is from the 45 7″. Luckily no one seems to have played it, so following specialist vinyl cleaning we present this lost classic. Sadly the original artists, “The Shimmers” vanished back into session work for other artists and are now mostly unknown.

“Cucumber Dreams” Concept Album

The former DJ and Producer DXS is proud to trail his forthcoming album inspired by slugs and their adoration of cucumber. Whilst formerly known for his work playing dancefloors in the UK, this promises to be a genre crossing album with nearly 4hrs of sluggy songs, or an extended version with an extra 3hrs of remixes!
